Notice Regarding Our Participation and Team in 2020

Thank you very much for your continued support of GOODSMILE RACING & TeamUKYO.
GOOD SMILE COMPANY (Headquarters: Chiyoda, Tokyo; President: Takanori Aki), which manages GOODSMILE RACING, the Hatsune Miku GT Project based on the concept of “THE RACING TEAM DRIVEN BY FANS,” will participate in the GT300 class of “SUPER GT,” the top level of sports car racing in Japan, again in 2020 as “GOODSMILE RACING & TeamUKYO.”

The Hatsune Miku GT Project has won the GT300 class series champion three times in 2011, 2014, and 2017, coincidentally with a three-year cycle in the history of SUPER GT participation.
The team has tried its best in 2018 and 2019 to overturn this jinx in a good sense and made it to the final round each year, but unfortunately, it could not win the championship.
2020 is the year of this jinx. This time, it will enter the SUPER GT with a fresh feeling and a goal to win the championship so as not to break the jinx in a bad sense.
　
As for the structure for this project, we have Mr. Takanori Aki for the team owner, the former F1 driver, Mr. Ukyo Katayama for the team manager, Mr. Nobuteru Taniguchi and Mr. Tatsuya Kataoka for the drivers, RS FINE for the maintenance garage, and the machine, Mercedes-AMG GT3 with the tire of YOKOHAMA as usual. However, the machine will be the 2020 Mercedes-AMG GT3, which has undergone significant improvements to enhance its strengths.

Then, the Hatsune Miku GT Project official character “Hatsune Miku Racing Ver.” (Also known as Racing Miku 2020Ver.), the symbol of the 2020 team, will be designed by LEN[A-7] (Lena). She gained her reputation with the “Magical Mirai 2016” Hatsune Miku design. The art director for the entire project is Mr. Shigeto Koyama, a character designer who has been the art director of the Hatsune Miku GT Project since 2014.
　
Machine coloring will be unveiled at the “Tokyo Auto Salon 2020” held at Makuhari Messe from January 10th (Fri) to January 12th (Sun), 2019. Racing Miku Supporters 2020 (Race Queen) will be announced on February 9th (Sun) at the” Wonder Festival 2020 Winter”.
