Torrential rain hit the town of Oyama in Shizuoka prefecture, which is where the Fuji Speedway is located, and it was decided that it would be difficult to hold it because there were collapsed roads and flooded offices. The race was canceled.

The town of Oyama suffered serious damage in the disaster. There was a driver who promptly made an appeal on Twitter to save the town of Oyama, to which we have always been indebted. It was Tatsuya Kataoka, who would later join GSR. They held an event named SAVE OYAMA, and gathered a large amount of donations. Nobuteru Taniguchi also participated in this event.
